Girls Inc – A non-profit organization with chapters all across the US and Canada. They provide girls across the U.S. and Canada with life-changing experiences and solutions to the unique challenges girls face.

Ban Bossy  – This website has a focus on helping girls build their leadership skills. There are all kinds of great statistics as well as activities for parents, teachers, girls and troop leaders.

Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls – They have a great description! “We emphasize intelligence and imagination over “fitting in.” We celebrate curiosity over gossip. We want you to truly be your weird and wonderful selves!”

WBENC – Women’s Business Enterprise National Council – largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States.

  • WBEA – Is the Texas affiliate here in Houston. It is their mission to increasing business opportunities for women-owned businesses and corporate members through education, programs, and professional networking.

S.C.O.R.E – FABULOUS resource for free small business advice. We offer mentors, how-to resources, templates, training and workshops to help your small business succeed.

Women of Wisdom and Strength – provide free life-skills education and childcare to disadvantaged women and connecting them with resources in the community.

Fort Bend Women’s Center – empowers survivors of domestic or sexual violence and their children to achieve safety, heal and begin a new independent and self-sufficient life, while also striving to prevent violence against women.
